Organizational Profile
CEHRO is a consortium of 17 human rights CSOs with full membership and with three associate members working on human rights, rule of law, & peace building. CEHRO is registered as per the CSO Proc. No. 1113/2019 with registration number 3932. It envisioned working towards the realization of human rights and democratic values in Ethiopia by creating a platform for strong and vibrant human rights CSOs. Its mission is to ensure the existence of an enabling environment for Human Rights and Democratic Governance through evidence-based advocacy, constructive dialogue, and partnerships for actions.
From its establishment, CEHRO has been determined and working for the advancement of human rights protection in Ethiopia by creating a common platform for human rights CSOs to articulate their voices and launch evidence-based advocacy. CEHRO works to expand the space for human rights CSOs and continue engagement with stakeholders’ building the capacity of existing and emerging human rights organizations to ensure effective human rights, democratic governance, and peace-building works.
Post holder role and Responsible
This role will lead the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, Communication and documentations and ensure support and linkages to standards. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of results in line with pre agreed program plans and objectives and oversees program quality and effectiveness at all stages throughout the project cycle. Given that a significant and increasing amount of the work is done through partnership, a key aspect of the role is nurturing, developing and build capacities towards the achievement of results through members and partners.
The post holder is responsible to support project designing, overseeing qualities of implementation processes, monitor, evaluate and sharing of leanings by M&E requirements.
The post holder is responsible to develop and/or update M&E tools and databases; support the staff in data collection and applications to collect and analyze data; conduct data audits and analysis to ensure high-quality data; compile a report with relevant indicator data per grant, showing targets versus actuals; provide documentation and dissemination of key findings stemming from monitoring, assessment, and other learning activities; and collect and file success stories, pictures, legal documents, etc, and file

Job Requirements
Educational background and Knowledge
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in development studies, Law, Human Rights studies, monitoring and evaluation, project management and other related fields with at least 8 years relevant experience of which at least three years of experience with CSOs/NGOs setting or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of project cycle management and advocacy development programming
- Knowledge of development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community advocacy development in the country.
- Knowledge of effective participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Communication systems
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with colleagues,
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation,
- Strong negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills,
- Numeracy and the ability to interpret programs’ findings and statistical data.
- Skills in advocacy monitoring tools, leading the process and reporting
- English and Amharic language is required
- Ability to speak other local languages has advantage
