Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Intern

Job Overview/Summary:

Duration: 6 Month

Eligible: Female Applicants

We are seeking motivated MEAL Interns to support client responsiveness and accountability initiatives within the organization. This internship offers valuable exposure to client feedback and response mechanisms, accountability to affected populations, community engagement, and monitoring and evaluation processes in a humanitarian setting. The role is ideal for recent graduates interested in developing communication, coordination, and data management skills while contributing to improved program quality and client service.

Major responsibilities include:

·         The intern will serve as a call agent (receiving Hotline calls; responding to the clients, referring to the concerned and recording the calls on the standard feedback registry)

·         The intern will work on checking the completeness of client feedback registry

·         The intern will collect, consolidate, and record client feedback on the CFR toolkit v2 when field MEAL team are busy

·         Assist in Client feedback raw data preparation for sharing with partner

Safeguarding Responsibilities: –

·         Promote and actively participate in initiatives and efforts to build team engagement, inclusion and cohesion in IRC [team/office]

·         Foster ongoing learning, honest dialogue and reflection to strengthen safeguarding and to promote IRC values and adherence to IRC policies

Requirements:

Educational Requirements:

·         2025/26 First Degree Graduate in social science field (sociology, community development, law, Human rights, Economics, management, or related fields

Preferred Experience and Skills:

·         Zero years of experience

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Commitment to learning and applying humanitarian principles and inclusion.

·         Willingness and commitment to learn Microsoft Office applications with minimal support

·         Excellent written and verbal communication in English, Amharic, and ability to speak local language and Arabic is advantageous.

 

This internship is a six‑month program and includes a monthly stipend

Selection Process

·         Only applicants meeting the minimum qualification will be short listed and contacted.

·         The minimum qualification includes the right educational background as per the Educational Requirement, proof of recent graduate, letter of recommendation from your respective university.

·         Shortlisted candidates will be scheduled for a written exam to evaluate their basic skills.

·         As per the exam result a panel interview will be scheduled

·         The final result will incorporate both the written and interview grades

·         The finalist will be contacted and all other candidates who are interviewed but not selected will receive official email regarding the recruitment status.
