Development through Adult and Non-Formal education (DANFE) is a local CSO established July 2004 by the number of Volunteers who were dedicated to support vulnerable community groups in the country. Since its establishment, it works both on Development and Humanitarian interventions. DANFE has been working in the area of Humanitarian support, Survivor centered protection and GBV service, Emergency education Response, , Humanitarian support for IDPs, Accelerated Learning program(ALP) for over-aged out of school children, Women Economic Empowerment, climate change resilient livelihoods, Peace building and conflict prevention,

Role and Responsibility

• Provide psychological and emotional support
• Conduct counseling sessions
• Support trauma recovery and mental health care
• Refer severe cases to specialized services
• Facilitate group counseling, support groups, and psycho education sessions.
• Conduct psychosocial and mental health assessments.
• Psychological First Aid (PFA)
• Referral and Coordination

Salary: – As per as the organization scale

Project duration:-12 months (May 1,2026 – April 30,2027

Qualification

Education

• 1st Degree in psychology, counseling, clinical social work, or psychiatry

Experience

• 3-4 years Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mental health and psychosocial support, including individual and group counseling

Required skill

• Provide one-to-one and Group counseling
• Identify emotional, behavioral, social, and functional needs
• Provide immediate emotional support after distressing or traumatic events.
• Provide trauma-informed counseling to survivors of GBV, abuse, conflict-related violence, or exploitation etc…
• Knowledge of Ethiopian mental health policies, referral pathways, and stigma reduction approaches.
