ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Media Documentation Junior Expert II position who meet the following requirements.

Job Summary
The Media Documentation Junior Expert II is responsible for assisting in the documentation and organization of media assets, including photographs, videos, and other digital content. This role involves cataloging, labeling, and managing media files, ensuring easy accessibility and retrieval. The Media Documentation Junior Expert supports the media production team by maintaining an organized media library and facilitating efficient workflows for media projects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist media production team in recording audio-visual products and editing raw data
- Ensure media files are properly labelled, categorized, and stored for easy retrieval and use by the production team.
- Manage digital files, including renaming, organizing folders, and maintaining file structures to ensure consistency and order.
- Collaborate with IT or technical teams to implement file management best practices and storage solutions.
- Enter metadata, keywords, and relevant information for media files, enhancing search ability and accessibility.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive metadata entry for all media assets.
- Conduct quality checks on media files, verifying file formats, resolutions, and overall quality before they are archived or used in projects.
- Report any discrepancies or issues related to media files to the media documentation expert.
- Collaborate with editors and designers to provide requested media assets for editing and production purposes.
- Maintain documentation related to media assets, including inventory lists, usage logs, and project-specific media databases.
- Collaborate with media production team members to understand project requirements and prioritize media asset retrieval accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding asset availability, project progress, and any challenges faced in media retrieval and organization
- Any other duty assigned by the NEBE communications manager.
About You
Specification:
Education and Work Experience:
- MA degree or BA degree in Media studies, Communication, Computer science and any other related fields.
- 4 years for BA holders and 2 years for MA holders with relevant work experience
Mandatory trainings and certification
- Video and photography training
