Major Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the project baseline, mid-term and final evaluation in collaboration with contractor, field team, researchers as well as relevant partners.
  • Coordinating outcome tracking and LQA survey processes in consultation with HO Advisor and project, IP, field staff and other relevel WVE staff
  • Coordinating zonal communication & signing agreement with Government offices
  • Supporting building the MEAL framework based on the project impact, outcome, output and input to provide robust measurement of project results using scientifically reproducible mixed-method methodologies focusing empowering women & girls
  • Coordinate the preparation of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plan in closely working with the Project team, HO Advisor, Zonal NEWA, key program staff, and implementing partners focusing empowering women & girls; and develop indicators for monitoring  performance  as well as  the status of direct beneficiaries and also  day-to-day activities implementation through co-developing guidance  & template and ensure about the indicated project & communication based on overarching Logic Model
  • Coordinating the development of assessment, planning, monitoring and reporting framework and adapting and/or preparing guidance on, DIPs, ITT, and budget.
  • Coordinate the project implementation in closely working with AP, Non-AP and CPO team towards ensuring both admin and technical aspects
  • Coordinate establishing zonal level CBO, FBO and others centering women and girls centered
  • Coordinate zonal level supporting, planning, reviewing, reflection, cross learning and scaling up
  • Coordinate zonal level leveraging opportunities
  • Coordinate zonal level efforts towards :
    • Enhanced women’s agency and decision-making power over social, economic, and environmental aspects that affect their lives;
    • Increased participation by women in the management of climate risks and sustainable use of natural resources and;
    • Increased women’s access to and control over diverse livelihoods and accruing benefits.
  • Facilitate and coordinate CPO level procurement steps accomplished timely
  • Closely work with CPO level project finance focal person and ensure project run smoothly
  • Work with HO  detailed annual activity vs finance, purchase and other required consolidated
  • Coordinate developing and preparing performance monitoring plan (PMP) guide and implementation together with project field team and collaborating with other AP sectoral officers and finance team
  • Co-developing/adapting templates with Advisor for monthly, quarterly, biannual and annually reports & ensure reports are submitted timely with quality to HO, donors and  other concerned
  • Coordinate identifying and contextualizing key context based indicators from the Zonal context
  • Maintaining detailed schedules of activity and budget implementation tracking systems for activities monitoring and budget utilization for each Woreda
  • Coordinate undertaking all project’s monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities using set performance indicators by working closely with project technical officers using appropriate monitoring and reporting tools and methodologies
  • Facilitating all project’s monitoring and evaluations systems are maintained within the project and AP operational area by liaising with AP MEAL staff
  • Ensuring RESILIENT WE scaling principles such as co-learning, cost effectiveness, inclusiveness, climate smart, sustainability and scalability  mainstreamed in to day to day project rolling out
  • Coordinate introducing digital data collection towards increasing efficiency, transparency and ease of communication for each AP, CPO, AP/Woreda
  • Coordinate practicing appropriate tools like CFP, mentoring and etc are effectively practiced within the officers and ensure accountability
  • Coordinate documentation of successful practices, publications, development of presentations and technical documents and opportunities for reflection within the organization as well as outside the organization
  • Reading the RESILIENT WE Proposal & its Logic Model (LM), extract impacts, outcomes, outputs & activities and understand expected MAEL framework
  • Coordinate experience sharing events

Required Professional Experience

  • At least 4 years working experience in MAEL
  • Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards
  • Must have proven analytical/ problem solving abilities
  • Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards
  • Experiences in excel  management

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • University degree preferably M.Sc in monitoring, reporting and evaluation or Agricultural Economics, Environmental Economics, Sociology, and related field Training and knowledge in gender equality
  • Training in MAEL framework
  • Training and knowledge in ODK or other MAE tools
  • Training on MAEL framework
  • Training in publication & developing story

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective collaboration with all staff
  • Excellent skill in producing quality report
  • Appropriate skills and experience in the capacity building and training of staff and partners;
  • Rich experience in handling productive meeting
  • Rich experience communication
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Excellent experience in proposal development, budget preparation and report writing;
  • Good knowledge of oral and written English language.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Working primarily in the East Hub, semi-regular travel locally and internationally will be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Travel by road, flexibility with accommodation and dietary arrangements. Ability to partake in on-location production or live events.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency: English
  • working knowledge.
  • Afaan Oromo language speaking and writing is well come
