Job Description

CVDA has been re-registered and licensed by the Ethiopian Ministry of Justice, Charities and Societies Agency, on November 30, 2009 as an Ethiopian Residents charity in accordance with the Charities and Societies proclamation No. 621/2009 with registration No. 0588. As per 1113/2019 proclamation also re-registered on July 30, 2019.

CVDA has permission to work at the national level however so far operates marginal parts of Benshangule Gumuz Region, Sidama region, South Ethiopia Region, Central Ethiopia region, South west Ethiopia region, Oromiya region, Afar region and Addis Ababa City administration.

It is member of Consortium of Reproductive Health Association (CORHA), Union of Ethiopian Women Charitable Association (UEWCA), Ethiopian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative/EEITI/, Ethiopia Civil Society Coalition for Scaling up Nutrition/ECSC-SUN/ and Afar Region Health Partner Forum.

CVDA’s mission is to enhance socioeconomic development in health, education, agriculture, environment, livelihood, and WaSH, humanitarian responses, community-based peace-building, and good governance through holistic approaches and working with the community to contribute towards sustainable development and an improved standard of living in Ethiopia.

Description of the Vacancy

Called HOME-GROWN SCHOOL FEEDING & CLIMATE-RESILIENT LIVELIHOODS PROJECT

Which implemented in Bena Tsemay, Malle and Dasenech Woredas, South Ethiopia. So we want to hire project staff for this project mentioned below

Duty station Jinka – Regional Project Coordination Office
Reporting line Reports to: Regional Coordinator.
Supervision Provides technical guidance to woreda livelihood teams on market systems and HGSF linkage.
Job purpose Develop and operationalize market linkages between supported farmer groups/cooperatives and school procurement structures, while strengthening market information, collective marketing and contractual arrangements.
Minimum qualifications & experience MSc/BSC  in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Marketing, Rural Development, social science or related field;4/6 relivant proven experience in cooperative strengthening, aggregation logistics, market systems and contract/forward farming arrangements; experience in Southern Ethiopia preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project indicator tracking matrix, data-collection tools and reporting calendar.
  • Lead the baseline, routine monitoring and endline survey processes.
  • Configure and manage KoBoToolbox/mobile data collection forms and support field teams in their use.
  • Conduct routine data-quality checks, spot checks and verification of beneficiary, training, distribution and output records.
  • Compile monthly monitoring data and contribute to quarterly and final performance reports.
  • Track progress against targets and flag implementation gaps, underperformance and data inconsistencies to management.
  • Support community scorecards and the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM), ensuring feedback is documented and followed up.
  • Disaggregate relevant data by sex, age and vulnerability status and support gender-responsive analysis.
  • Participate in joint supportive supervision, review meetings and learning events.
  • Document lessons learned, good practices and evidence for sustainability and programme improvement.

Baseline/endline datasets and reports; monthly monitoring reports; indicator tracker; verified field data; dashboards/analysis; data-quality reports; learning documentation.
