Floresta Ethiopia is non- governmental organization based in San Diego CA, USA, whose mission is to reverse poverty and deforestation by transforming the lives of rural poor.

NOW Floresta Ethiopia is implementing different developmental societal activities to improved economic empowerment and environmental restoration in Andabet woreda, amhara region, Ethiopia. On top of its expansion for a certain planning years, the program, Floresta Ethiopia would like to invite competent candidates who fulfill the requirement of the indicated different vacant positions listed below.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates the procurement requirements of the program office on the basis of the procurement policy guidelines.
  • Pre-qualification of suppliers as provided in the procurement policy
  • Compliance with procurement procedures as per Field Operations Manual.
  • Procurement committee constitution and TORs
  • Creates purchase orders, ensuring relevant procurement procedures have been applied and all supporting documentation is attached
  • Ensuring that invoices received reconcile to purchase orders and created and matching receipts to purchase orders
  • Ensure three way matching of purchase order, Invoice and GRN and carry out monthly Oracle Purchase Module closing procedures, including month end reconciliations and adjustments
  • Sourcing/Selecting qualified suppliers over the bid
  • Liaises with government authorities and NGO’s and provides logistical support in coordinating deliveries of program supplies and in obtaining customs clearance for imported goods
  • Prepared documentation and drafts correspondence for duty and tax exemption certificates and ensures timely submissions to the relevant government authorities.
  • Develop appropriate physical inventory count procedures, adapted to the local requirements of each site, with a strong accent on control and separation of duties.
  • RFQ & Negotiation including negotiating best possible price, payment terms, and delivery schedules
  • Prepare and apply Purchase Order entry
  • Supplier relationship management including prepayment, on-time delivery of orders and other transactions
  • Measuring & managing supplier performance (price, delivery, and quality)
  • Identifying supplier risks and setting the solutions for the risks.
  • Developing and leading new supply sources (Advanced Sourcing, Dual Sourcing) while supporting daily responsibilities
  • Establishing accounts/terms
  • Interfacing positively with internal cross-functional organizations and suppliers
  • Reporting to Operations to ensure supplying required component parts for production
  • Complying with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
  • Supporting other initiatives/activities as directed by senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager.

Qualification

  • BA/MA Degree in Economics, procurement, Purchasing and supplies management, Management, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Marketing 6/4 years and above relevant experience.
  • Experience with NGO in Ethiopia is more valuable.
