Maternity Foundation is a Danish based International NGO that works to ensure a safer childbirth for women and newborns, everywhere. Through our Safe Delivery Program, we use digital training- and learning tools to support and train skilled birth attendants, and we work with partners in more than 15 countries across Africa, Asia, and the MENA region. Maternity Foundation wants to hire Logistics and Finance officer under the supervision of Finance Coordinator, to oversee the company ledger, organize the orgnization accounting documents, manage the organization payroll, Process payments in accordance with the rules and regulations, update the financial records and assist in the external annual audit process for the next 4 months as the Admin and Finance manager will be on Maternity leave.

About You
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Assist and participate in 2024 annual external audit process
- Review the 2024 financial documentation and make it ready for annual external audit (this includes review the necessary documentation (Valid invoice, GRV, GIV, PO, PR, signed payment request, projects paid stamp ) of the transaction.
- Review the organization’s 2024 HQ fund and projects recording on peachtree accounting system (this includes review the bank account reconciliation, monthly payables account, staff receivables accounts, petty cash settlement documents, stock balances
- Assist in preparation of consolidation of projects transaction for auditing purpose
- Assist the Finance coordinator in preparation of IPSAS based financial statements
- Assist in the availing of pertinent documents to the auditor up on request like; donors agreement, quarter financial and activity report
Manage 2025 Financial transaction
- Maintain and record the financial transactions in Peachtree with accurate amount, correct account code and task codes.
- Process payment as per the organization’s financial policy
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
- Process monthly government tax payments
- Support monthly payroll and keep updated records
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Provide support during donor budgets preparation
- Assist and participate in donors quarterly report
- Support the work of the Admin & Finance Manager, where necessary, in his/her absence
- Assist in reviewing and screening CVs of applicants when the organization has a vacant position
Assist and support 2025 plan
- Assist in compiling and submitting 2024 annual consolidated financial report, 2025 projects financial plan, fixed assets registration, activity report of 2024 to ACSO
- Provide support in preparation of budget when it is needed
Assist and support the organization procurement and logistics
- Assist in the preparation of bid document to procure need based items and service as per the organization’s rules and regulation when it is needed
- Arrange & facilitate logistics whenever MF team will have business travels
- Facilitating trainings, workshops & meetings payment
- Arrange hotel for meeting, training & workshop etc…
Skills & Experience needed:
- Minimum of BA degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- At least 3 years & above relevant experience in Accounting or finance
- Good interpersonal communication and good team player
- Knowledge of Peachtree accounting software is mandatory
- Excellent computer skills particularly Microsoft office applications, required.
- Good command of English language is required
