Livelihoods Project Officer

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major program areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and Lobby & advocacy. DEC works in five National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia, Gambela , Benishangoul Gumuz and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop potential livelihoods initiatives which are in line with the project livelihoods strategy and assist in the implementation phase of livelihoods interventions;
• Collect and update relevant data and information on the progress indicators of livelihood activities
• Ensure proper analytical narrative reporting on the livelihoods activities;
• Provide technical support in the Design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Project activities.
• Participating in proposals development and budgeting for new projects.
• Responsible for overseeing implementation of livelihood project activities in accordance with approved time schedules, budgets.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or designate.

Educational Background

Experience;

• At least MSc/MA in Social work social science, Health and other development fields
• At least 3 years direct CSO work experience.

Additional Skill

• Experience to work with grass root community
• Experience to work with women self-help group (WSHG), cluster level associations and farmer groups.
• Experience on lobby and advocacy works and system changes.
• Excellent communication skills both on local languages and English languages.
