I-Capital Africa Institute is a forward-looking professional services firm based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, focused on capital market development, business consulting, and human capital solutions. The institute delivers research, advisory services, and capacity-building programs to support enterprises, financial institutions, and market stakeholders in navigating evolving business and financial environments. It provides market analysis, learning programs, and strategic advisory services tailored to the needs of the emerging Ethiopian capital market and broader African economies.
Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job
To support the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions by assisting in needs assessment, instructional design, training delivery, and reporting, ensuring learning programs are relevant, well-structured, and aligned with industry and client needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Planning
- Support the preparation of operational plans for learning and development (L&D) activities
- Assist in collecting data and preparing reports on L&D programs for planning, monitoring, and evaluation purposes
Design
- Assist in designing and updating training programs using appropriate instructional design and delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual sessions)
- Conduct background research on industry trends and best practices in learning and development
- Support continuous improvement of learning solutions based on feedback and business priorities
- Support activities related to training needs assessment, learning material preparation, and program delivery
- Assist in the development of training materials, presentations, and learning resources
- Provide logistical and technical support during training implementation
Review
- Support the monitoring and evaluation of training programs
- Assist in collecting feedback and analyzing training effectiveness against performance indicators
- Contribute to recommendations for improving learning programs
- Work with internal teams and consultants to support learning solution projects
- Assist in client engagement by supporting training needs identification and documentation
- Support collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams by contributing to proposals, concept notes, and presentation materials related to learning solutions
- Assist in coordinating with external trainers or delivery partners when required
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Education, or a related field
- 0–2 years of relevant work or internship experience in learning and development, training, HR, consulting, or a related area
- Strong interest in learning solutions, training design, and capacity development
- Oral and written communication
