Network of Ethiopian Women’s Associations (NEWA) is one of the pioneer national civil society networks in Ethiopia working for the respect of women’s political, economic, social, and legal rights. Currently, NEWA has 50 member associations/organizations operating all over the country whose primary objective is creating an enabling environment for the empowerment of Ethiopian women and girls. Its member associations aim to advance women’s rights, gender equality, and women’s empowerment in Ethiopia. NEWA has experience in leading women’s rights issues in Ethiopia through advocacy, research, capacity building, and monitoring government compliance with Gender Equality. As a network organization, NEWA has been advocating for the development and proper implementation of gender-sensitive policies, laws, and programs at the national and regional levels.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior M&E Officer to join our dynamic team. The purpose of the Junior M& E Officer position is to support and maintain the M&E systems for the Women Peace and Security project. Junior M&E Officer will be responsible in supporting the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for projects or program, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and assisting in the development of M&E frameworks, while working under the guidance of M&E officer. Moreover; S/he responsible in designing data collection tools, conducting field visits to gather data, data entry, basic data analysis, and contributing to projects M&E reports highlighting key findings and program impact. The position holder will directly report to M&E Officer. She/he also assists the M&E Officer to ensures a better data management system and generation of data for reporting and informed decision making.

Education Requirement:
• BA/ MA degree in Project Management, Social Science, human right, gender studies fields, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 3-years proven experience.
