Job Description

Wako Gutu Foundation (WGF) is interested to recruit a competent professional for the Ethiopia social accountability project phase three (ESAP3) at Woreda Level:

About the Organization

WGF is NGO founded in 2006 G.C. & registered by Federal Civil Society Organizations Agency under registration number 0457. The organization was initiated by networks of people from pastoral and Agro pastoral communities in 2006 in memory of General Wako Gutu, “an Ethiopian pastoralist elder and peace and justice activist” who in addition also engaged in development activities. The foundation is being binding to the legal requirements for memorial foundations in Ethiopia.

Key Roles:

  • WSAE is a staff member of the lead or sub partner. Support the SA process in their respective woreda(s).
  • In relation to monitoring, Are responsible for collecting data, Including checking compliance with data collection procedures in his/her woreda,
  • Submitting data to a central, web-based platform Application Procedures
  • Interested applicants are required to  submit their documents through e-mail or in person in WGF branch offices

Reports to: Program Manager

Project Name: Ethiopian Social Accountability Program (ESAP III)

Terms of Employment:  One year contract with possibility of extension based on performance

Duty Station:  Bale Zone Dallo Mana and Seru Woreda

Job Requirements

Requirement

  • Degree in Social Work/Social Sciences /public health/ literature/ languages/ anthropology or related field.
  • Related experience for 3 years with B.A. or 2 years for M.A. Out of which 1 year experience as Accountability Officer and NGO experience is preferable

Unique Ability Required

  • Strong communicator with good presentation, report writing and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, word, excel, power point, use of the internet
  • Knowledge of English and Afan Oromo local language is required
  • Energy and stamina to withstand long working hours and often stressful conditions
