Eyu-Ethiopia is a non-profit organization registered by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organizations in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No 1113/2019 on June 11, 2019 with the registration number 4209. Eyu-Ethiopia is looking for Office Assistant/ Receptionist for Bahir-dar office to help achieve its aim of reducing the burden of avoidable blindness in Ethiopia through research, training and integrated community-based service delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans & maintains offices, store, toilets, kitchen & other working area as required.
- Sweeps, mops and disinfects all office and field work equipment.
- Requests cleaning & sanitary materials for offices, toilet, kitchen etc.
- Ensures that the offices, toilets, office materials, office furniture’s & fixtures are kept in an orderly condition.
- Maintains and facilitates maintenance of office and office and field work materials.
- Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages and other items to intended location or recipient within and outside the office in a timely manner.
- Handles messenger activities within the office.
- Prepares and provides tea/ coffee service to staff & guests.
- Receives and greets visitors and helps them to navigate through the office.
- Assists in other administrative, logistics and financial activities as required by the organization.

Job Requirements
REQUIREMENT:
- College Diploma/TVT in office management, accounting, logistic & supplies / administration or equivalent with a minimum of two years experiences in office assistant or other relevant administrative support positions.
- Computer literate and good working knowledge of applications such as MS Office Word and Excel and capable of communicating in email.
- Recommendation letter from the most recent employer.
- Able to present release letter from current employer within two weeks after job offer.
Desirable traits:
- Experience related with office cleaning and maintenance or store operating procedures or petty cash handling.
- Skills and experience in the use of warehouse tools such as bin cards, stock cards and regular reconciliation of physical stock with the record and reporting of status.
- Previous NGO experience.
- Organized and attention to detail with effective time management skills.
- Strong personal attributes such as integrity and honesty.
- A diploma in any health science field
