Position: Program Coordinator
Number of Position Required: One (1)
Place of work: South Ethiopia, Dilla
Terms of employment: One year Contract with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.
Salary: Based on the organization’s salary scale

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: BA/MA degree in the areas of Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies or any related social sciences fields, postgraduate is desirable. Minimum of at least five (8) years for BA and 6 Years for MA.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator expected to play a crucial role to manage, coordinate in administering Sponsorship Communications (SC) and sponsorship funded program that maximize impact in the sponsorship target areas under the two regions; He/she will often be responsible to lead projects and teams, monitor and ensure the right implementation of projects, communicate with local stakeholders, verify and/or approve program expenditures, prepare action plans and other communication instruments, facilitate enabling environment for the successful implementation of sponsorship communications and sponsorship programs to meet required standards and sponsorship commitments. Besides, s/he is also overall responsible for guiding the sponsored children, their families and communities to ensure their effective participation in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of the development interventions in their areas.
The Program Coordinator will work in close consultation with the Executive Director and in collaboration with different teams and local stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and result of all programs.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Planning and coordination of a projects/programs managed under the Coordination office, including its human resources.. etc.
- Work with Woreda, zonal, Regional BoH, Education and other officials to ensure all aspects of programme understood and agreed to implement the programme
- Manage area level communication, visibility and public relation activities of the organization with diffident stakeholder.
- Organize sponsor visits and produce a report on the visit and the entry into Child Data
- Monitor sponsorship data entry and ensure records are kept in line with Data Protection policy
- Supervise sponsorship staff to develop clear individual accountability plans and facilitate interim
- and annual staff performance Appraisal
- Coordinate PA level sponsorship phase-in and phase-out processes
- Management of the SPAD budget at the program area level
- Responsible for project design, overseeing implementation and monitoring in these relevant
- stages of project management while ensuring quality program delivery;
- Ensures integration as well as smooth teamwork within and across other programs (including
- sponsorship operation) at the program area level;
- Participate in the preparation of the PA annual budget, and prepare the sponsorship annual
- work plan and PO
- Monitor the adherence to safeguarding children and young people policies in all sponsorship
- communities
- Strengthening networking and collaboration with sponsored communities, families, association
- Groups, government offices at Woreda level and the CSOs within the PA.
- Overall coordination of the alignment of sponsorship program and grants through including
- Sponsorship communication activities in the annual plan of grant staff.
- Monitor Sponsorship Communication Updates (SCU) and Sponsorship Communication
- Introduction (SCI) production processes for CDFs in the field.
- Control the receipt and dispatch of communication from donor to field and vice versa
- Prepare regular plans and reports on program/project performance and impact for internal and external communication, sharing, and learning purpose in consultation with Executive Director.
- Attend training and learning events in the project areas representing RTN and cascade new developments to the organization’s program team and its stakeholders.
- Update the Executive Director on the implementation of the area Program & other activities on weekly/monthly basis.
- Conduct field visits to monitor and support program/project implementation and identify and forward areas of improvement using back-to-office reports.
- Compile and share lessons, good practices, and case stories from project/program implementations.
- Ensure RTN Safeguarding Policy and Guidelines and adhered to in project implementation
- Carry out other tasks related in consultation with the Executive Director to enhance the quality of projects and organizational achievements
- Monitor equitable distribution of projects in sponsorship communities
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: One year Contract with the possibility of extension based on availability of fund and work performance.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Good communication skill in Amharic & English. Knowledge of the project implementation areas languages is needed
SALARY: As per the organization scale.
PLACE OF WORK: Dilla with frequent travel to the field.

Qualification (Education, Experience, key qualities, skill and competence
- Have a demonstrated experience in sponsorship communication program
- Strong knowledge of Project Management, budget planning, monitoring and evaluation and report writing,
- Good knowledge, understanding and implementation of integrated Rural Development and Women Empowerment Programme activities,
- Ability to plan and organize work to meet individual, team and programme objective,
- Training and facilitation skill,
- Ability to effectively liaise with government, donors, NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders,
- Fosters working in teams & teamwork spirit, coach and lead staff.
- Very good knowledge and practice of computer application,
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willing to travel to remote areas in the field, ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
- Understanding of the nature of the program and willing to travel and live in field site, with frequent transfer from site to site.
- Flexible and creative approach; keen to take initiative where appropriate.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
