01. MRI Technologist (4 Positions)

Job Description

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations safely and efficiently. The role includes preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, following established imaging protocols, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate examination records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician requests and approved imaging protocols.
  • Verify patient identity, clinical history, examination requests, and complete MRI safety screening.
  • Explain MRI procedures to patients and provide clear pre- and post-examination instructions.
  • Screen patients for MRI contraindications, including metallic implants, pacemakers, and other safety risks.
  • Operate MRI equipment and associated systems safely and efficiently.
  • Select appropriate imaging sequences and parameters based on examination protocols.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure their comfort throughout the imaging procedure.
  • Administer MRI contrast media, where authorized, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Monitor patients during MRI examinations and respond promptly to any medical emergencies.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing artifacts and image distortion.
  • Identify image-quality issues and repeat or adjust imaging sequences when necessary.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, radiation safety, and MRI safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
  • Perform routine equipment quality checks and report faults or technical issues to the Biomedical Engineering Department or service provider.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, radiographers, nurses, biomedical engineers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and on-call schedules as required.
  • Ability to work in hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, private clinics, or other medical imaging facilities.

MRI Technologist

Department: Radiology / Medical Imaging

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Ethiopia

Reports To: Radiology Department Head / Senior Radiographer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Radiologic Technology, Medical Radiography, or a related field.
  • Valid professional license/registration in accordance with Ethiopian regulatory requirements.
  • Specialized training or certification in MRI technology is preferred.
  • Previous experience in MRI imaging is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of MRI safety standards, patient screening procedures, and imaging protocols.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, protocols, and patient care practices.
  • Proficiency in operating MRI equipment safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of MRI sequences, including T1, T2, FLAIR, DWI, ADC, STIR, GRE/SWI, and contrast-enhanced imaging.
  • Excellent understanding of MRI safety procedures and contraindications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common imaging and equipment issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Good teamwork, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in PACS/RIS systems and basic computer applications.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an MRI Technologist is preferred.
  • Experience operating 1.5T or 3T MRI systems is an added advantage.
  • Experience with different MRI manufacturers and digital imaging workflows is desirable.

The Office Secretary is responsible for providing efficient administrative and secretarial support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The role includes managing correspondence, maintaining office records, coordinating meetings and appointments, handling communications, and providing administrative assistance to management while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office administrative and secretarial activities.
  • Receive, screen, and direct telephone calls, visitors, and official inquiries.
  • Prepare, type, edit, and distribute letters, reports, memos, and other official documents.
  • Receive, register, and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems.

Job Summary

▪️ We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair medical imaging equipment including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray systems, Endoscopy . The role involves both on-site and remote technical support, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

▪️ Install, commission, and configure medical imaging equipment (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, Endoscopy).

▪️Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on installed systems.

▪️Diagnose technical faults and provide timely solutions.

▪️Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.

▪️Conduct user training for healthcare professionals.

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of quality goods and services at competitive prices, in compliance with company policies and applicable procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement plans based on organizational requirements.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), purchase requests, and purchase orders.
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain qualified suppliers and vendors.
