Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in human resource management activities.
- Participate in the review and implementation of the HR manual.
- Follow up the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- plan short term and long-term human resource development plan for all staff.
- Participate in the review of JDs and ensure the provision of same to all staff.
- Coordinate and ensure the proper implementations of policies and procedures in the recruitment of academic employees.
- coordinate orientation programs to new employees in cooperation with hiring work units.
- Coordinate the periodic review of performance appraisal scheme and ensure the implementation.
- Coordinate professional development program for staff in consultation with supervisors.
- coordinate employee benefit programs such as accommodation, travel arrangements etc.
- work in team for work permits, residence permits and visa matters and other essential documentation for expatriate staff and locally recruited staff.
- Keep personnel records of staff and ensure all necessary documents are available.
- Maintain personnel data in computerized database system and update periodically.
- Prepare personnel correspondence: including Salary/benefits, testimonials and recommendations etc.
- Schedule and oversee employee leave (Maternity leave, sick leave, compassionate leave etc.)
- Facilitate clearance for all resigning, terminating and leaving staff.
- Ensure all staff members have identity card.
- Carry out employee services and counseling.
- Prepare annual and period work plan and reports.
- Carryout and coordinate orientation programs to new employees in cooperation with hiring work units.

Report to: Senior Accountant/Finance Manager
Number of staff required: 1
Summary of the Position: Under the supervision of Senior Accountants, responsible to prepare & effect check/cash payments as per SIS’s procedure, compile financial supporting documents and prepare monthly cash book and coding on documents, handle petty cash supported by accepted vouchers.
Issue cash receipt Vouchers upon collection of cash or at confirmation bank credits evidences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle petty cash fund, execute cash payment according to the financial plan, and settle expenses in time, supported with necessary financial documents and ordered to do so by the appropriate authority
- Prepare Check and processes all cheque/cash disbursements by preparing the necessary cash payment vouchers
- Make sure all advances are settled as per the procedure and report to immediate supervisor for unsettled advances if any,
- Collect bank statements and other advice from bank and make sure all deposits have respective cash receipt vouchers.
- Prepare monthly cash book and make sure all payment vouchers and supporting documents have paid stamp immediately after payment is effect.
- Make coding of payment vouchers based on the organization’s chart of account
- Facilitate & make tax related payments to concerned government bodies
- Maintain petty cash book and records daily petty cash transact ions and prepare and present petty cash summary for replenishment when of the fund is utilized.
- Take on other responsibilities within the team to achieve the desired results.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/BA degree in accounting.
- At least 3years of experience in related
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft basic, internet and Financial Accounting software
- Enough knowledge of financial system & procedure.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.

03. Amharic Cover Teacher
Location: Addis Ababa | Deadline: January 26, 2026
Amharic Cover Teacher (Primary School, maternity cover)
We require a maternity cover Amharic cover Teacher for a maximum of 4 months starting from end of January 2026.
Main Purpose:
To support students with learning challenges in Amharic by providing targeted interventions, promoting inclusive practices, and collaborating with classroom teachers to help every learner succeed.
- Take responsibility for the progress and learning of children determined on an annual basis by the Head of Primary and in accordance with the duties listed in this document.
- The postholder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers.
- Teach pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.
- Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both within the school and the wider community.
- Modify lesson materials with Amharic teachers.
- Develop and track Individualized Learning Plans.
- Regular communication with parents and teaching teams.
- Participate in Amharic team meetings.
