Purpose of the role
- To manage end-to-end operations of the VFS whilst ensuring quality and cost saving, ensure compliance with the set processes, and manage people to bring the best efficiency out of them
- To ensure implementation of new processes, roll outs or changes.
The Operations Officer is Responsible for: –
- Document scrutiny and collection of application for visa processing
- Handel customer/applicant queries personally or via email, telephone
- Handel cash and bank related transactions if assigned and ensure 100% accuracy
- Record & maintain all application data. Ensure accurate & timely data entry into the system without errors
- Ensure all administration and logistics of passport delivery to consulate/applicant/logistic Company etc.
- Maintain compliance with the standard operating procedures, manuals etc. without deviation in process
- Inform the applicants about the available added services and ensure delivery of value-Added service options to applicants/customers.
- Encourage applicants to provide feedback on service provided and their overall experience overall experience at applicant center.
- Ensure that the entire process is completed within the mandate turnaround time
- Assist Deputy Manager/operation manager in execution of WB project
- Ensure judicious use of natural resources
- Adhere to the environmental health and safety policy /objective and guidelines of the organization
Indicative KRA’s/Budgetary and Revenue Responsibilities
- Productivity – Targets met as prescribed in Team Objective Tracker.
- Customer satisfaction (Applicants) – Complaints – Targets met as prescribed in Team Objective Tracker.
- Timely & Accurate Data entry – Targets met as prescribed in Team Objective Tracker.
- Late reporting /unauthorized absenteeism

- Completion of WB Projects Completion
- Attending training programs. Ensure all training scheduled by HR are attended
- Training: Internal Process Certifications (OCL’s) – Scores well on all OCL’s completed for self
- Error Monitoring – To reduce the number of errors daily, maintains Error Log, as applicable.
- Updates Productivity & VAS Conversion Grid – to track performance daily.
- VOC – Targets met as prescribed in Team Objective Tracker.
- Ensures adequate Surveys are completed (minimum 5% of application counts) & Target VOC Target achieved, as per Team Objective Tracker
Knowledge & Key Skills:
- Worked as Customer Service Representative
- Basic Knowledge of Computer skills, in MS office & good typing speed.
- Adaptability and presence of mind to handle customer queries and complaints\
- Ability to Innovate and enhance procedures and methods to increase productivity & cost effectiveness
Education: – BSc or BA Degree in any Field of study.
Experience: – 0–2 years in a high-paced, customer-facing service environment.
Language: – Fluency in Somali language
Fluency in Amharic & English is Mandatory
Additional Language Requirements
- Tigrigna, Afan Oromo & Arabic speaking skill is highly preferable.

I. Core Objective
To build the mobile phone channel sales and distribution network from the ground up in the Ethiopian market, establish a sustainable channel system, empower local partners, and achieve rapid market penetration and long-term growth.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Channel System Design & Expansion
- Develop channel strategy for Ethiopia, designing the distribution network architecture (including national/regional distributors, sub-distributors, retail chains, operator partnerships, etc.).
- Identify, negotiate with, and onboard key channel partners to build a multi-tiered and widely-covered sales network.
- Design channel policies, profit structures, and cooperation models to ensure channel competitiveness and loyalty.
2. Distribution Network Operation & Management
- Manage channel orders, inventory, and logistics coordination to optimize product flow efficiency.
- Monitor channel sales data and market trends, regularly analyzing channel health (coverage, sell-through rate, inventory turnover, etc.).
- Address channel conflicts, cross-regional sales, and other issues to maintain channel order and price stability.
3. Channel Capability Building
- Training & Empowerment: Provide partners with training in product knowledge, sales techniques, store management, and digital tools.
- Demonstration Projects: Assist key distributors in establishing model stores, optimizing merchandising, and designing promotional campaigns.
- System Support: Promote the adoption of digital tools (e.g., order systems, inventory tracking) to enhance channel operational efficiency.
4. Market Collaboration & Strategy Support
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan channel promotions and new product launch campaigns.
- Gather market intelligence (competitor channel strategies, consumer preferences, policy changes) and provide feedback to product and supply chain teams.
- Provide input for localized product planning to ensure alignment with channel sales characteristics.

Education:
- BA/BSC Degree in any field of study but have all the relevant experience

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in channel sales and distribution management within the mobile phone/consumer electronics industry; experience in building channels from 0 to 1 in emerging markets is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with distribution business models (design of distribution systems, inventory management, logistics coordination, rebate policies, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose channel issues through sales data and develop actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
