Established in 2019, Deborah Foundation is a registered non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of children with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities through support in the areas of health, education, and Policy Advocacy.
Summary:
The IT Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization’s computer systems, networks, and equipment, as well as supporting website development and maintenance. The role ensures reliable day-to-day IT operations while also assisting in managing and updating the organization’s website and digital presence.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to staff (on-site and remote).
- Set up user accounts, emails, and access permissions.
- Maintain and monitor internet connectivity and local area network (LAN).
- Install and update operating systems, antivirus, and essential software.
- Ensure data backup is performed regularly and securely.
- Maintain IT inventory and asset records.
- Support meeting room IT setup (projectors, screens, video calls).
- Ensure basic cybersecurity practices are followed across devices.
- Coordinate with external IT service providers when needed.
- Perform routine system checks and preventive maintenance.
- Manage IT-related technical problems
- Assist in the development, updating, and maintenance of the organization’s website.
- Upload and update website content (news, reports, photos, announcements).
- Monitor website performance and ensure it is functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot basic website issues and coordinate with developers/hosting providers when necessary.
- Ensure website security, backups, and domain/hosting renewals.
- Support improvements to website design, user experience, and functionality.

Salary – Gross salary of 10,000 ETB

Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support or technician role.
- Basic knowledge of website development tools (e.g., WordPress or similar CMS, HTML/CSS is an advantage).
- Knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and common software applications.
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft Office, antivirus, and email systems.
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN, routers, switches, internet setup).
