Job Description
Job Summary
OWDA is seeking a qualified IT Officer to manage the organization’s overall IT operations. The role involves maintaining IT infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring system security, and supporting staff in their day-to-day technology needs. The IT Officer will also be responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s internal systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff on IT-related issues.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s servers, internet connectivity, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure data security, backup systems, and protection against cyber threats.
- Support the installation and management of office management systems, databases, and digital platforms.
- Maintain inventory and proper documentation of IT equipment and systems.
- Provide training to staff on the use of IT systems and digital tools.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment maintenance and procurement.
- Ensure proper functioning of printers, scanners, communication systems, and other office IT equipment.

Job Requirements
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in IT management or technical support.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, hardware, and software troubleshooting, and system security.
- Experience in managing office networks, databases, and cloud systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with NGO operational environments is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
