The ICT Service Unit of GIZ Ethiopia and Djibouti is dedicated to providing comprehensive technical support and consulting services to enhance productivity and efficiency within the organization. Their key services include:

1. Technical Support: Resolving ICT-related issues promptly to minimize disruption to daily operations.
2. Consulting Services: Offering expert advice on best ICT practices and tailored solutions for various programs and projects.
3. Tool Provision: Supplying employees with the latest digital tools to boost productivity.
4. Process Automation: Implementing automated workflows to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency.
5. IT Infrastructure Management: Setting up and maintaining reliable ICT infrastructures, including servers, networks, and security systems.
6. Training: Conducting standard and on-demand training for staff on various ICT applications and tools.

These services aim to create a productive and secure ICT environment, allowing GIZ staff to focus on their core business activities.

The internship opportunity is exclusively available to female applicants who graduated in the year 2024.

Contract Duration: Six months

Responsibilities and Duties

• Documenting functional and nonfunctional old IT items.
• Managing network cables and listing active computers.
• Documentation Assistance: Assist the GIZ ICT service team members with the documentation planned for April and May 2025.
• Network Renovation: Assist with network renovation, configuration, and documentation works planned for the third quarter of 2025.
• Old IT Items Testing and Troubleshooting: Assist in testing old IT items and listing those that are no longer required and troubleshooting.
• Cable Management: Assist with cable management work planned for August and September 2025.
• Active Computer Documentation: Assist in documenting active computer lists planned for June and July 2025.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Graduate of the year 2024 with 0 years’ experience.
