Invitation to Bid – Review opportunities and challenges, and Identify Incentive Mechanisms for Ecotourism

Job Description

Farm Africa is an international NGO founded in 1985, with a vision to ensure a prosperous rural Africa. It is a specialist development NGO working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments, and the private sector in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The organization is an expert in the fields of agronomy, livestock, natural resources management, and market engagement. With community engagement underpinning our approach, we design and implement sustainable solutions to rural poverty based on evidence and best practices.

About You

Farm Africa is seeking proposals from eligible and qualified consultants to conduct to consolidate different studies conducted on ecotourism in the Bale ecoregion in order to identify potential ecotourism development sites in the Bale ecoregion, including challenges, opportunities, incentive mechanisms, and identify potential Eco tourism thereby recommending the type women and youth ecotourism enterprise establishment.

Interested bidders are requested to collect the Term of Reference (TOR) directly collect from Farm Africa Ethiopia office or request it via at: BefekaduD@farmafrica.org between September 15-23 2025.

Bidders must submit their Technical and Financial proposals in two separate files, clearly labeled as ‘Technical Proposal’ and ‘Financial Proposal’, each bearing a stamp and signature. The documents must be sent via email to: ethprocurement@farmafrica.org no later than 5:00 PM on September 24, 2025.

  1. Proven track record on conducting study on ecotourism
  2. Possess a recent full ecotourism study report at hand conducted in Bale eco region in the past three – five years
  3. Extensive knowledge and experience in reviewing different studies on natural resource management and related studies.
  4. Relevant academic qualifications MSC and above in ecotourism, natural resource economics, natural resource management and forestry.
  5. Strong analytical (experience conducting data analysis), facilitation and communication skills
  6. Excellent reporting and presentation skills
  7. Fluency in spoken and written English
  8. Excellent language and presentation skills You shall submit all the legal documents (renewed Trade License, Registration, TIN, VAT/TOT certificates)
  9. You shall clearly state their unit price and total price including VAT/ToT in ETB properly signed and stamped.

Bid proposals will be opened by Farm Africa Procurement Committee. You will be notified whether your proposals are considered based technical and financial evaluation.
