Invitation to Bid – Market Assessment for Identifying Green Coffee Business within the Private Sector

Farm Africa is an international NGO founded in 1985, with a vision to ensure a prosperous rural Africa. It is a specialist development NGO working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments, and the private sector in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The organization is an expert in the fields of agronomy, livestock, natural resources management, and market engagement. With community engagement underpinning our approach, we design and implement sustainable solutions to rural poverty based on evidence and best practices.
About You
Farm Africa is seeking proposals from eligible and qualified consultants to explore coffee private sectors who really understand the implications of green value chain in their business through considering green business practices
Interested bidders are requested to collect the Term of Reference (TOR) directly collect from Farm Africa Ethiopia office or request it via at BefekaduD@farmafrica.org between September 19-28 2025.
Bidders must submit their Technical and Financial proposals in two separate files, clearly labeled as ‘Technical Proposal’ and ‘Financial Proposal’, each bearing a stamp and signature. The documents must be sent via email to ethprocurement@farmafrica.org no later than 5:00 PM on September 29, 2025.
- The team leader should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in (mixed methods) in value chain development.
- The team leader should possess at least MSC degree in marketing or economics or related discipline.
- The team members should have a background in marketing, sustainable development, statistics, economics, policy, or relevant subject. Each proposed team member should have clearly defined roles and responsibilities related to the assessment work.
- Proven track record on conducting study on coffee value chain
- Demonstrable experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research methodology.
- Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills •
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Provide at least two (2) examples on coffee value chain and related work conducted within the last 3 years.
- You shall clearly state their unit price and total price including VAT/ToT in ETB properly signed and stamped.

Bid proposals will be opened by Farm Africa Procurement Committee. You will be notified whether your proposals are considered based technical and financial evaluation.
Farm Africa Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject all or parts of the bids at any time without assigning any reason or reasons whatsoever.
