Farm Africa is an international NGO founded in 1985, with a vision to ensure a prosperous rural Africa. It is a specialist development NGO working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments, and the private sector in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The organization is an expert in the fields of agronomy, livestock, natural resources management, and market engagement. With community engagement underpinning our approach, we design and implement sustainable solutions to rural poverty based on evidence and best practices.
About You
Farm Africa is seeking proposals from eligible and qualified consultants to produce visibility products, particularly video documentaries and high-resolution photographs for the Forests for Sustainable Development (FSD) Programme.
- The leading consultancy firm or individual must have a recognized MSc/Bachelor’s degree in: Journalism, Literature, English & Foreign Languages or a related discipline, along with a solid knowledge of the relevant areas.
- The lead consultancy firm or individual should have a minimum of five years of proven professional experience in storytelling and the production of video and photo documentaries (both short and long-format films and professional photography) in similar roles with developmental aid organizations, donors, and private entities.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, and fluency in Oromiffa (local) language is required.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines while adhering to high production and technical standards to maintain a high level of professionalism is necessary.
- Demonstrable professional scriptwriting, planning, cinematography, editing, narration, mixing and presentation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of contemporary advancements and methodologies in communication, including both digital and mainstream media.
- Track records of successful productions captured on similar topics are required, and applicants must submit proof of experiences with three (3) sample videos and 30 sample photo productions along with their bid application.
- Excellent technical capacities (well-equipped with up-to-date software and hardware to ensure smooth and high-quality production) are required.
- You shall clearly state their unit price and total price including VAT/ToT in ETB properly signed and stamped.

Bid proposals will be opened by Farm Africa Procurement Committee. You will be notified whether your proposals are considered based technical and financial evaluation.
Farm Africa Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject all or parts of the bids at any time without assigning any reason or reasons whatsoever.

Interested bidders are requested to collect the Term of Reference (TOR) directly collect from Farm Africa Ethiopia office or request it via: BefekaduD@farmafrica.org between September30-october 9, 2025.
Bidders must submit their Technical and Financial proposals in two separate files, clearly labeled as ‘Technical Proposal’ and ‘Financial Proposal’, each bearing a stamp and signature. The documents must be sent via email to: ethprocurement@farmafrica.org no later than 5:00 PM on October 10, 2025.
