Invitation to Bid for Preparation of a Database for Monitoring Woody Tree Species in the Bale Ecoregion

Job Description

Farm Africa is an international NGO founded in 1985, with a vision to ensure a prosperous rural Africa. It is a specialist development NGO working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments, and the private sector in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The organization is an expert in the fields of agronomy, livestock, natural resources management, and market engagement. With community engagement underpinning our approach, we design and implement sustainable solutions to rural poverty based on evidence and best practices.

Farm Africa currently wants a database to establish a well-structured information management system for the data that are usually collected by community-based biodiversity monitoring and participatory forest resource assessment.

Job Requirements

  1. BSc degree or a certificate in computer science
  2.  Experience in conducting similar database development in the area of forest and biodiversity management
  3. Proven experience in database creation using Microsoft Access and/or Excel
  4. Educational or practical experience in the area of participatory forest management and biodiversity conservation
  5. You shall submit all the legal documents (renewed Trade License, Registration, TIN, VAT/TOT certificates)
  6. You shall clearly state their unit price and total price including VAT/ToT in ETB properly signed and stamped.

Interested bidders should collect the TOR directly from the Farm Africa Ethiopia office or request via: BefekaduD@farmafrica.org between September 06-15,2023.

You will be submitting your Technical and Financial proposals in two separate files duly marked as “Technical” and “Financial” proposals With stamp and signature. The document must be delivered to the email: ethprocurement@farmafrica.org on or before 5:00 PM 15, September 2023.

Bid proposals will be opened by the Farm Africa Procurement Committee. You will be notified whether your proposals are considered based on technical and financial evaluation.
