Invitation to bid for conducting assessment of existing stakeholder coordination platforms and develop standard operating guidelines for a multi-sector coordination platform

Job Description

Farm Africa is an international NGO founded in 1985, with a vision to ensure a prosperous rural Africa. It is a specialist development NGO working with smallholder farmers and forest communities, local governments, and the private sector in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. The organization is an expert in the fields of agronomy, livestock, natural resources management, and market engagement. With community engagement underpinning our approach, we design and implement sustainable solutions to rural poverty based on evidence and best practices.

Farm Africa wants to invite eligible bidders to conduct assessment of existing stakeholder coordination platforms and develop standard operating guidelines for a multi-sector coordination platform. The Study aims study/assessment is to inform the establishment of an integrated landscape multi-stakeholders’ platform in the Bale eco-region through the review of existing stakeholders coordination platforms in the region, identifying the best practices, challenges and gaps, and through the development of proposed operational standards for the new platform.

Job Requirements

  1. Bidders shall submit all the legal documents (renewed Trade License, Registration, TIN, VAT/TOT certificates)
  2. Master’s degree in forestry, plant science, natural resource management, biodiversity, and environmental science,
  3. Experience in handling similar responsibilities such as natural resource project proposal development and evaluation of natural resource-based projects
  4. Knowledge of and participation in natural resource and environmental protection platforms, multi-stakeholder coordination, and experience of evaluating them
  5. Extensive experience in conducting literature reviews and qualitative research including familiarity with participatory research methods
  6. Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills
  7. Fluency in spoken and written English and Oromia region working language
  8. Bidders shall clearly state their unit price and total price including VAT/ToT in ETB properly signed and stamped.

Bidders shall be submitting their Technical and Financial proposals in two separate envelops duly marked as “Technical” and “Financial” proposals with stamp and signature. The document must be delivered to the email ethprocurement@farmafrica.org on or before 5:00 PM 20 September 2022.

Bid proposals will be opened by Farm Africa Procurement Committee. Winner bidder will be notified whether your proposals are considered based on technical and financial evaluation.
