Agriterra currently runs three projects, one of which is the “Acting Now for Food Security and Resilient Systems” (Acting Now) project. Acting Now project aims to relieve the acute food insecurity risks in Ethiopia’s three regions by reaching 10,340 member farmers with FNS tailored interventions, representing 10,340 hectares through 15 farmer organizations between 2023-2025. Its priority is to improve incomes, productivity, and sustainable land management practices by offering sustainable services that ensure seeds, alternative fertilizers, planting material, agri-inputs (including finance) and advisory services are readily available to boost food production and relieve the risk of acute food insecurity. The project started in January 1, 2023 and will end by December 31, 2026. Under the Act Now project, Agriterra is currently supporting 17 primary cooperatives in Ethiopia across three regions: Amhara (Awi Zone), Central Ethiopia (Silte Zone), and Oromia (West Arsi Zone).
