Role Overview – Software Development Support

Elixone Tech is seeking a Software Engineer Intern with foundational knowledge in software development and a strong interest in gaining practical, professional experience. This intern-level position offers the opportunity to contribute to real software projects while working under structured supervision from senior engineers.

The intern will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and internal tools. The role emphasizes adherence to coding standards, documentation, and collaborative workflows. Based on performance, the position provides a clear pathway to the Junior Software Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of both internal and client-facing software applications, including web tools, dashboards, APIs, and database-driven systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, ensuring clarity of features and workflows.
• Integrate APIs, support backend and frontend development tasks, and ensure seamless system interoperability.
• Participate actively in code reviews, team planning sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
• Contribute to software testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes to maintain high standards.
• Support database operations, including writing queries, managing structured data workflows, and assisting with schema design.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Solid foundation in software development principles and version control (e.g., Git).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or JavaScript/Node.js preferred).
• Familiarity with modern development stacks, such as Node.js/Express, React.js, Tailwind CSS, or Laravel, is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data management practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while following professional development practices.
• Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
