Organizational Context

PAPDA is seeking qualified and motivated interns to support its Operational Departments, specifically within Human Resources, Procurement, Logistics, Program Support, and Information Technology (IT) units. The internship aims to provide hands-on professional experience while supporting the organization’s operational and programmatic objectives.

Purpose of the Internship

The internship is designed to support the delivery of efficient, timely, and quality operational services. Interns will contribute to day-to-day departmental activities, assist in coordination and documentation processes, and support effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, in line with organizational policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities (by Functional Area)

Human Resources (HR)

•        Support recruitment processes, including vacancy announcements, shortlisting, and interview coordination

•        Assist in maintaining personnel files and HR databases

•        Support onboarding and orientation of new staff and interns

•        Assist with HR documentation, filing, and reporting in compliance with PAPDA policies

Procurement

•        Assist in preparing procurement documents such as purchase requests, RFQs, and bid analysis summaries

•        Support vendor communication and maintain procurement records

•        Assist in ensuring procurement activities comply with PAPDA and donor regulations

•        Support tracking and filing of procurement documentation

Logistics

•        Support inventory and asset management, including updating stock cards and asset registers

•        Assist in coordinating transportation, distribution, and dispatch documentation

•        Support warehouse organization and stock control processes

•        Assist in preparing logistics and asset reports

Program Support

•        Assist program teams in planning, coordination, and documentation

•        Support data collection, filing, and reporting activities

•        Assist in organizing training, workshops, meetings, and field activities

•        Facilitate coordination between program and operations teams

Information Technology (IT)

•        Provide basic IT support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues

•        Assist in maintaining IT equipment inventory and documentation

•        Support system updates, data backup, and user support activities

•        Assist in ensuring compliance with PAPDA IT and data protection policies

Required Qualifications and Competencies

Education

•        Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Computer Science, Human Resource Management, or a related field

•        Master’s Degree is an asset

•        For Logistics Intern Applicants shall provide a driving license when applying  with at least 1 year of driving experience.

Experience

•        0–1 year of relevant work or internship experience
