Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Information Management

  • Directly oversee all WASH and Education in Emergency (EiE) data collection and management with the support and supervision of the ,WASh Manager, and Regional Program Manager.
  • Ensure data received from the field teams is correctly entered into the program trackers on a weekly regular basis – gather, consolidate, clarify errors and clear the program data.
  • Ensure accurate and regular data entry and review, including robust analysis and identification of trends, following the WASH information management protocols and standards set out by the donors.
  • Maintain the WASH information management system and ensure safe and accurate documentation, filing, storing and usage of information.
  • Share weekly the updated Program Data and Indicator tracker with the WASH Manager and MEAL Manager.
  • Ensure all hard copy of case management and WASH activities files are securely stored (i.e. in strong lockable file cabinets where appropriate);
  • Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation, including leading on or supporting the team with focus group discussions, community consultations, and carrying out feedback surveys with children, adolescent boys and caregivers.
  • Analyze and share results of focus groups and community consultations, including identifying trends and context changes.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of the M&E plans for the emergency program.
  • Support the team on the emergency assessments in case of new displacement.
  • Regularly visit program activities to ensure that all data is correctly collected and stored and shared in a timely manner.
  • Use project indicator data to monitor achievement towards objectives; report any projected shortcomings or gaps to the supervisor.
  • Develop online database forms and other tools to facilitate the collection of data from field-based staff.
  • Support proposal development as necessary.
  • Participate to the inter-agency WASH meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned like IT related support for staffs.

Reporting

  • Submit Weekly and monthly program data, 5W, and indicator tracking reports and analysis to, WASH Manager and MEAL Manager.
  • Compile, edit, and write monthly and quarterly WASH quantitative program reports using assigned 5W  template, including collating reports from field staff and producing final information products.

Training and Supervision

  • Train and offer needed support to WASH staff to correctly and effectively use WASHIMS+ tools, WASH  program activity and indicator trackers.
  • Train WASH program staff in data collection and reporting tools and requirements as needed;
  • Train WASH program staff on protection and Education monitoring

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related fields

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in NGO’s in developmental or in humanitarian programs working for an international agency on management information systems development. Experience in Child Protection Information management system will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience of undertaking analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research using relevant software such as STATA or SPSS, or any other is an advantageous

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Good communication skills in English and local language additional advantage and interpersonal skills, with experience working in multicultural, multi – location, values driven teams.
  • Proven skills and experience in system development, repair and maintenance.
  • Full understanding of Excel and report creation.
  • High-level technical understanding of the deployment infrastructure (i.e. servers, ip addresses, databases, local and cloud deployments).
  • Preferably basic knowledge on case management and child protection programming
  • Strong information management and telecommunication skills and proficiency in IT/computer skills (including sound MS Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms Word proficiency).
  • Problem analysis, judgement, handling ambiguity and decision making based on fact and figures
  • Technical expertise in various data analysis software and proven experience using mobile technology for data collection with experience of electronic data collection using tablets or other devices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with statistical/graphical software or geo-spatial software.
  • Proven experience with current technologies, such as web-based data management and analysis tools, digital data collection, mapping, Google applications, data visualization, interactive dashboards, etc.
  • Experience with ICT hardware, mobile phones and web-based technologies, particularly designing or deploying tools appropriate to limited-bandwidth or sub-standard infrastructure environments.
  • Good analysis and report writing skills
  • Experience in open source, mobile and emerging technology is extremely desirable.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Experience in producing clear and simple reports, including charts & graphs, for end-users
  • Experience of training and capacity building
  • Some experience of representation and ability to represent the CPIMS users effectively in external forums.
