We are recruiting an Improved Animal Management Officer for Ripple Effect (RE) projects planned to be implemented in Wolaita Zone. For this vacant position we will consider applicants who have BSc in Animal science, Animal Husbandry, Animal Breeding, Animal Production & Rangeland Management or any animal related fields Five (5) years of relevant work experience in the area of animal welfare and management particularly on equine welfare.

Experience of project monitoring at field level and quality report writing; Experience of project monitoring and reviewing; Prior experience with NGOs working in the area agricultural extension, community development and other food security related issues with smallholder farmers; Project management in the areas equine welfare & management; Skills in project planning, budgeting and monitoring; Ability of planning, organizing and conducting trainings and workshops at various levels (farmers, staff, stakeholders); Ability to coordinate project activities with a result based approach; Ability to use self-initiatives and work with minimal supervision; Very good skill in organizing activity schedules with ability to prioritize; High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to work across cultures and religions; Ability to be innovative and generate new ideas.
