| SALARY RANGE | Gross monthly salary of ETB 20,400.00 – ETB 23,683.00 plus ETB 8,640.00 Housing allowance and ETB 3,300.00 Transport allowance, depending on candidates qualification, experience and earning history |
Purpose of the Job:
To perform the day-to-day activities in Human Rights Education research and needs assessment using approved tools and communicates with other officers within the section to facilitate work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of data collection tools required to conduct research and needs assessment for human rights education;
- Conduct research and needs assessment using approved tools, write report and deposit approved research and needs assessment reports on the central system;
- Support in researching, monitoring analysis of emerging human rights issues;
- Work on the requested improvement by the Coordinator and Director to improve the collection of needs assessment and evaluation data;
- Work on the evaluation outcomes regarding functional performance, internal operation, new innovations, environmental analysis related to human rights education, etc., from various internal and external sources to revise the human rights education delivery;
- Coordinate the discussion forum within the department to have a shared understanding of best practice in human rights education;
- Work on opportunities for Human Rights Education Department’s program improvement, revision, changes and enable better performance tracking and reporting capacity;
- Work on functional collaboration within the functions of the department to optimize project and program costs;
- Work with the human rights education delivery team to incorporate trainer’s feedback on research;
- Work with human rights curriculum design team to ensure research and needs assessment findings are informing the revision and development of human rights education and training materials;
- Work with different function of EHRC for coordinating, integrating, and supporting each other in research and needs assessment activities to optimize training costs;
- Support in the write up and review of the research and publication of human rights education issues;
- Participate in relevant working groups/committees and staff meetings;
- Submit regular reports of the Function to the Director and other relevant organs;
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
About You
Qualifications and Experience:
- LLM/LLB Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, International Law.
- 4 years of relevant experience for LLB and 2 years of relevant experience for LLM.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Amharic required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous
