Job Description

Duties

The Human Resources Assistant assists the Human Resources Office in providing HR support to approximately 200 U.S. Direct-Hire (USDH) and contractor American staff, from 8 USG agencies, over 40 Eligible Family Member (EFM) employees, and many TDYers (both short and long-term).  The incumbent serves as primary support and back-up to the Deputy HRO (DHRO) providing the full-service HR interface for USDHs and EFMs, including, but not limited to, checking-in/checking-out USDHs and EFM employees, facilitating diplomatic accreditation and visa issuance and renewals, processing family member employment recruitment and on-boarding, and handling all USDH and EFM performance evaluation documentation, as well as  being charged with heavy reporting requirements and updating including COLA, FAMER, EFM Status Requests, Travel Messages, ad hoc Bureau reports, etc.  The position is supervised by the Deputy Human Resources Officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience is required.

Education:   Two years of university study is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:  English Level 4 (Fluent) of Speaking/Reading/Writing required (This may be tested).
