Health Programs Head at at Ethiopian Muslims’ Relief and Development Association (EMRDA)

Role and Responsibilities

• Design programs related to community, health, nutrition, GBV and related.
• Manage programs coach project staffs on project implementation
• Network and communication with partners and potential donors.
• Participation on national and regional health and nutrition clusters.
• Prepare quarterly and annual work plans and share the woreda project coordinators in each target woreda and oversee their implementation accordingly.
• Strengthen EMRDA’s teamwork with project staffs, Regional stakeholders and other partners,
• Ensure periodic program and financial reports are prepared and submitted to EMRDA Program Director and Executive director
• Coordinate with the M&E team and ensure periodic supervision of the project performance identify gaps and take immediate actions to get rid possible hindrance of the project implementation.
• Represent the organization through attending workshops, trainings and consultative meetings.

Salary : Based on organizational scale

Educational background & experience

• MPH/BSc Degree in public health, Sociology, or related fields.
• 3 years for MPH and 5+ years for BSc of relevant working experience on coordinating health or humanitarian projects preferably in NGO.

Competencies and skills

• Self-motivated on program design and resource mobilization
• Proven/demonstrated networking, negotiation, communication capacities and problem solving skills.
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, MS-power point and analytical tools.
