Health program EPI Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Job Description

Guide cluster office in establishing frameworks and information systems for M &E of activities
Managing monitoring and reviews of projects and programs in the as per signed program grant,
Supporting M&E unit in making strategic decisions based on collected information and indicators;
Developing knowledge and disseminating evidence based and knowledge EPI in interventions;
Designing and implementing M&E guidelines, training manuals, and SOPs aligned to project;
Collecting and analyzing strategic information, and use evidence-based data to make decisions;
Monitoring and supervision of project field staff for delivery of high quality project activities;
Supporting stakeholders- at regional, zonal and woreda levels in improving M&E systems;
Improving the quality and effectiveness of immunization programs and services;
Develop and implement a Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation Plan;
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project activity reports in line with reporting standards;
Collaborate with field staff; and respective woreda, zonal and regional health office team
Other project related duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor;
Commits to support all the efforts of the ODA to prevent and respond to SEA allegations: adhere to the ODAs code of conduct,

About You

Qualification:

Frist degree (BSc or MD) in medicine, public health, health monitoring and evaluation, project management; with graduate degree (Masters) in public health, epidemiology; or related fields
Additional training in immunization programs monitoring is an advantage

Work Experience:

For first degree holders at least ten years; and for graduate /second degree holders eight -years of relevant experience with government; national or international organizations in planning, monitoring and evaluation in public health, expanded immunization, child health or related fields.
Previous work in qualitative and quantitative methods, developing analytical reports; and conducting survey/field research; developing/preparing monitoring and evaluation guideline and strategic plan; and data management is preferred.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of Afaan Oromo, Amaharic and English, in spoken and written
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience analyzing and managing database
Analytical written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated skills in teamwork
