Job Description

As Head of HR you are the driving force behind our people strategy in a dynamic, international environment.

You’ll champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team, managing the complexities of global talent acquisition, compliance, and cultural integration.

The Impact

  • Strategic Global HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Bopinc’s mission, addressing the unique challenges of a global, virtual team while navigating diverse regional laws and cultural landscapes.
  • International Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with global employment laws, including data privacy regulations, and manage the impact of economic and political instability.
  • Cross-Cultural Talent Management: Lead global talent acquisition, onboarding, and development initiatives, adapting to cultural differences and language barriers to build a cohesive and engaged workforce.
  • Operational Excellence & HR Technology: Oversee all HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and HR information systems (Afas), ensuring seamless execution and data security across our global teams.

Responsibilities

Global Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Manage international recruitment, including job analysis, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, with a focus on cross-cultural integration.
  • Handle global mobility and international exchanges.

International Compensation & Benefits:

  • Develop and manage global compensation strategies, ensuring compliance with local tax and social security regulations.
  • Administer payroll and international benefits, addressing cultural differences in benefit preferences.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Ensure legal compliance with labor laws, equal employment opportunity, and data privacy.
  • Manage performance management, employee engagement, and discipline/termination processes, with a focus on cross-cultural communication and conflict resolution.

Global Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop global training programs, including cross-cultural training and leadership development.
  • Provide career development, and mentorship programs.

Global HR Administration & Technology:

  • Manage HR information systems (Afas) and other HR technologies, ensuring data privacy and security.
  • Implement and utilize HR analytics to support global HR decision-making.

Policy & Organizational Development:

  • Develop and update global HR policies, ensuring compliance and cultural sensitivity.
  • Manage risk, facilitate organizational change, and shape company culture.
  • Workforce planning.

Management Support:

  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in the Netherlands (HR Business partner and HR advisor) and in our four country offices (HR and admin officers)
  • Supporting PEP managers, Country Directors and the Global MT in all HR matters.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in global HR management, including international recruitment, compensation, and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of global employment laws and data privacy regulations.
  • Strategic HR planning and implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage HR operations in a culturally diverse and geographically dispersed organization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems (Afas) and other HR technologies.
