Vita/RTI-Ethiopia is an Irish non-profit registered organization in Ethiopia since year 2005 and engaged in support of development program by implementing food security, agriculture, livelihood, climate change projects through application of community-led approach. All ongoing projects are being implemented in three rural highland woredas of Amhara National Regional State (ANRS) and thirteen rural woredas of SNNP Regional State.

We are looking best candidates who can fulfill below stated criteria for the following position

Job summary

The job holder is responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the Human Resources and Administration functions. This role oversees all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development, and workforce planning. The Head of HR and Administration also plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Oversee the entire HR cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee separation.
  • Manage the compensation and benefits program to ensure that it is competitive and aligned with the organization’s values.
  • Develop and implement employee training/ induction and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Cultivate a positive and engaged work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee the administration of all HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and digitalizing employee records management.
  • Develop strategy with growing expectations to address future staffing, training, and facilities requirements

Terms of Employment: Annual base contract with possible extension

Work place: Vita Country Office, Addis Ababa

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Management or MBA degree from recognized University
  • BA Degree 8 years and MBA Degree 6 years’ experience in HR management
  • Experience in NGO sector is preferable
