Head, Finance, HR and Shareholder’s administration – Mariganama Agricultural Service Share Company, Ethiopia

Job Description

Company Descriptions: – our company Mariganama Agricultural Services S/c (MGA Sc) is a shareholding company established in 2022 base on New commercial Code of Ethiopia to met four main pillars and objectives;

Those are;

  •  To  Import as well as looking from the local market for all appropriate agricultural inputs to supply it to small holder farmers and commercial farms,
  • To Exports agricultural products,
  • To provision of technical training and advisory services.
    for small holder farmers and commercial farms,
  •  To partake on agro industrial Production

Having the above main objectives we are looking to recruit highly competent candidate to the following open positions

Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Management 

  • Develop and implement accounting and Finance  strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Plan the overall financial management of the share company on yearly, half a year and quarter base
  • Draft and Prepares accounting and finance working documents, manuals  based accepted accounting principles and new commercial code of Ethiopia
  • Carries out overall coordination and verification of payment vouchers and other  payment documents in accordance with share company’s  requirements
  • Ensures the application of proper accounting controls and uniformity with financial regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and conditions and Government policies.
  •  Provides ongoing technical assistance to the finance  team in the development of effective and reliable financial management systems
  • Ensures that all procurements, payments and other transactions are in line with financial guidelines, rules and regulations for procurement, accounting and reporting
  • Produce and /review the financial report to submits regularly on time before the deadline.

HR Management 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of the share company
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Develop, Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Produce and /review the HR management report to submits regularly on time before the deadline.

Share holder’s  Management 

  • Develop and implement shareholders articles of association  aligned with the overall business strategy and new commercial code of Ethiopia
  • Manage share holder’s share account and paid and unpaid shareholding capitals
  • Manage the profit and lose of the share company
  • Manage the regular and unique general assembly meeting and its effectiveness
  • Produce and /review the Share holder’s Management report to submits regularly on time before the deadline.

Reports to General Managers’ of the S.C

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/MBA in Accounting and finance or Business Administration with 6 years related experience for degree holders and 4 year for postgraduates.
  • Familiar with basic computer application, and Peachtree accounting
  • Very Good knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and other related regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill is mandatory
  • Basic supervisory/managerial skills.
  • Must be comfortable in being a proactive member of the department. Must seek to identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions to the level of management appropriate to effect solutions.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities independently with minimal technical support from within the organization.
