Several projects in the cluster “Economic Transformation” are pooling their administrative and financial services in one Admin & Finance team that aims to deliver more efficient and professional services. All projects in the cluster have a common office building and need support in the area of Procurement and Contracts. The projects in the cluster jointly aim at enhancing productivity and supporting the growth of a robust and profitable economy to create more employment opportunities for young people in Ethiopia.

Desired contracts start date July 01, 2025

Contract duration: Until May 31, 2028

Responsibilities

• Keep secure GIZ office in and its properties

Tasks

• Provision of security services to the GIZ compound and office.
• Provision of security services to the GIZ office vehicles parked on the compound and adjacent parking lots at day
• Opening entrance gate for GIZ office vehicles and registered visitors during office hours
• Security checks of visitors if directed by the GIZ management staff and support visiting partners through provision of information
• Check and control incoming and leaving GIZ properties at gate

Required qualifications, professional experience

Qualifications

• Primary school education
• Physically fit
• Good hearing and eyesight
• Observant, responsible and trustworthy
• Assertive with good interpersonal skills

Professional experience

• Knowledge of basic security and fire protection procedures.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Skill in observing situations and decision making.
• Skill in dealing courteously with public
• Ideally, skills in basic first aid and using a first aid kit and in basic fire safety and using a fire extinguisher
• At least five years’ work experience

Competencies

• Knowledge of local language
• No entries in criminal records
• Reliability and good organizational skills, appropriate appearance, and clothing
