Salaries and benefits for different countries will vary in line with the location of the successful candidate and depending on experience. See further details below:

  • UK: grade 2 – 50,000 to 60,000 GBP
  • Senegal: grade G 31,837,170 to 42,709,202 XOF
  • Nigeria: grade G 15,010,723 to 18,780,910 NGN
  • Ethiopia: grade G 27,023 to 58,150 USD
  • Pakistan: grade G 6,128,892 to 8,427,227 PKR
  • South Africa: grade G 873,681 to 1,191,126 ZAR

Location:

The role can be based in one of the following WaterAid Country Programmes – Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Senegal, South Africa or in the UK subject to right to work eligibility in the respective countries.

About the Role:

The role provides specialist safety and security advice to trustees, Chief Executives, managers and staff across the organisation, guides countries in their safety & security planning, and works to ensure the safety & security of staff travelling internationally on WaterAid business.

In this role, you will:

Provide specialist advice to staff at all levels including Chief Executives, Directors and Country Directors on all safety and security related matters.

• Continuously develop and maintain WaterAid’s global safety & security policies, procedures, tools and guidance documents (i.e. our Global Security Framework).

• Lead on strengthening the capacity of leaders and managers to deal with and be resilient to serious safety & security incidents or crisis events serious safety & security incidents or crisis events

About You:

To be successful, you’ll need:
5 years+ experience of security management, ideally in the context of an INGO.
A strong team player with experience of working remotely across different cultures.
A high level of resilience and drive
