Job Description
About Us:
Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, Non-Governmental Organization established in 2002 by a group of volunteers in the Jimma zone of Oromia Regional State. Initially founded to combat the HIV/AIDS pandemic, FIDO has expanded its focus to include prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), care and support for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC), and various health projects such as malaria control and reproductive health.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Team Leadership
- Provide overall leadership, supervision, and support to the OPD staff.
- Coordinate and deploy staff in line with organizational HR policies.
- Establish effective communication channels within the OPD and across other departments.
- Set priorities for OPD services, ensuring alignment with the clinic’s strategic objectives.
- Mentor and coach staff to build technical capacity and improve service quality.
- Monitor OPD performance, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct mid-year KPI reviews and annual performance evaluations of OPD staff.
- Prepare and manage work plans and budgets for OPD services.
B. Service Delivery
- Ensure efficient, client-centered delivery of outpatient services.
- Oversee subsidized or free service provision for eligible clients, in line with organizational policies.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and retrievable documentation of client records.
- Submit regular quantitative and qualitative reports on OPD services.
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality standards
- Supervise clinical sessions to ensure patient-centered care at all times.
- Report clinical incidents promptly in accordance with established procedures.
C. Resource and Staff Management
- Oversee human resource management of OPD staff, including motivation, supervision, and performance.
- Assess training needs and coordinate regular staff development in collaboration with project leads.
- Ensure rational use of medical supplies, equipment, and other resources.
- Participate in capacity-building initiatives to strengthen OPD team performance.

About You
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- BSc in Public Health or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on experience in clinical or public health leadership.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of national and regional health policies and systems.
Languages:
- Fluency in Afan Oromo and Amharic is required.
