Job Description
Development through Adult and Non-Formal education (DANFE) is a local CSO established July 2004 by the number of Volunteers who were dedicated to support vulnerable community groups in the country. Since its establishment, it works both on Development and Humanitarian interventions. DANFE has been working in the area of Humanitarian support, Survivor centered protection and GBV service, Emergency education Response, , Humanitarian support for IDPs, Accelerated Learning program(ALP) for over-aged out of school children, Women Economic Empowerment, climate change resilient livelihoods, Peace building and conflict prevention,
Role and Responsibility
- Design and implement GBV prevention, risk mitigation, and response activities.
- Ensure survivors receive confidential, safe, and survivor-centered support.
- Supervise case workers and monitor case management quality.
- Facilitate referrals for:
- Clinical care
- Psychosocial support
- Legal assistance Safety and shelter
- Conduct safety audits and protection risk assessments.
- Identify GBV risks in camps, schools, water points, shelters, and distribution sites. Services
- Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Reporting
Salary: – As per as the organization scale
Project duration:-12 months (May 1,2026 – April 30,2027

Qualification
Education
- Degree in social work, psychology, gender studies, sociology, or public health.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in GBV case management or women’s protection.
Required skill
- Communication skill
- Listening clients
- Knowledge on GBV guiding principles
- Safe identification and referral
- psychological first aid
- Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) problem-solving ability Knowledge of Ethiopian GBV laws (e.g., Criminal Code, Women’s Policy) and national referral pathways.
- Strong understanding of survivor-centered approaches and confidentiality.
- Additional training in GBVIMS (Gender-Based Violence Information Management System) or psychosocial first aid is a plus.
