Job Description

Local – Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular commodity end use check in its designated woredas after the completion of each food distribution round to check and verify beneficiaries Undertake regular warehouse inspection in its designated FOOD RESOURCE PROGRAM  target woredas secondary warehouses to check and ensure higher level of Compliance to donor and Consortium level standards in warehouse management.
  • Conduct regular live food distribution observations to monitor compliance of food distribution process to FOOD RESOURCE PROGRAM  consortium and donor agreed standards. Based on monitoring findings and observations, continuously work with field level staff to attain a higher and full level of compliance.
  • Host and conduct joint food monitoring with Partner Food Monitoring staff and take the prime responsibility to follow up and close findings at field level by actively working with FOOD RESOURCE PROGRAM  field office staff.
  • Follow the implementation & adherence of JAM, environmental compliance standards in his/her supervision PROGRAM  field office staff.
  • Actively engage in team work at CPO and HO level by closely working with FOOD RESOURCE PROGRAM  Response  Coordinator, FAIRO and compliance Officer

Job Requirements

Required Professional Experience

  • The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Experience:  Minimum of two years of related work.
  • Basic English spoken and writing.
  • Skill in routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Able to carry out limited, un-supervised tasks.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Educational requirements: BA/BSc Degree in social science fields such as Rural Development, Economics, Disaster Risk Management, Agriculture and other related fields
  • Experience/background: Minimum of 2 years of experience in relief and/or emergency response program

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • special criteria    EMERGENCY RESPONSE GENERAL FOOD DISTRIBUTION EXPERIENCE AND WV JEOP NR, REST, JEOP NR WORK EXPERIENCE IS MORE PREFERABLE

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

  • Work environment: Based in in the targeted Wereda Tigray Region. Travel:  Frequent domestic travel within the targeted woredas
  • Work Place: Zana-1, Selekelaka-1, Shire-1, Zata-1 and Korem-1, Raya Alamata
