1. Finance Officer | Jijiga City, Fafan Zone (Deadline: March 17, 2025)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, and providing accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Management:

    • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
    • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the organization’s financial stability.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to management.
    • Identify and address any financial discrepancies or issues.

3. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to donors, management, and regulatory authorities.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

4. Compliance and Audit:

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
    • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.

5. Grant and Donor Management:

    • Manage financial aspects of grants and donor-funded projects.
    • Prepare financial reports for donors and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
    • Monitor grant expenditures and ensure proper allocation of funds.

6. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with program managers and other staff to provide financial guidance and support.
    • Train and mentor staff on financial policies and procedures.
    • Participate in organizational planning and strategy development.

2. GBV Program Manager | ,Jijiga City, Fafan Zone (Deadline: March 17, 2025)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GBV Program Manager to lead and oversee our Gender-Based Violence (GBV) program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, a deep understanding of GBV issues, and a passion for driving positive change in the lives of survivors. The GBV Program Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring GBV prevention and response program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements. The role also includes a strong focus on Safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) to ensure the safety and dignity of all program participants.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

1. Program Management:

    • Lead the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of GBV program.
    • Develop and monitor work plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure program objectives are met.
    • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.

2. Technical Leadership:

    • Provide technical guidance on GBV prevention, response, and survivor-centered approaches.
    • Develop and adapt training materials, tools, and resources for staff and partners.
    • Stay updated on global and national GBV trends, policies, and best practices.

3. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and capacity-building sessions for team members.

4. Coordination and Representation:

    • Represent the organization in GBV-related coordination meetings, working groups, and forums.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders.

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress and impact.
    • Prepare timely and accurate reports for donors, management, and stakeholders.

6. Advocacy and Awareness:

    • Advocate for the rights of GBV survivors and promote gender equality at all levels.
    • Lead awareness campaigns and community engagement initiatives to prevent GBV.

7. Safeguarding and PSEA:

    • Ensure all program activities adhere to safeguarding and PSEA policies and protocols.
    • Develop and implement safeguarding and PSEA training for staff, partners, and volunteers.
    • Establish and maintain safe reporting mechanisms for safeguarding and PSEA concerns.
    • Respond to and investigate safeguarding and PSEA incidents in a timely and confidential manner.
