Job Title: Finance Intern

TEAM/PROGRAMME: Finance

LOCATION: Addis Ababa

GRADE: 6

POST TYPE: National

Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post holder may require to have regular contact or access to children or young people

Role Purpose:

The finance intern will assist the finance team, work in compliance and control unit. Through practical experience, the intern will develop skills in financial analysis, financial reporting, and financial operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The intern is expected to assist with compliance and control team – support on reconciliation, accounts management, & single account reconciliation.
  • Assist the team in analyzing data which will be used for different decisions.
  • Assist the documentation and maintenance of financial records
  • prepare documents for signature
  • Assist the finance team in ad hoc queries and assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, and Accounting.
  • High competency in Microsoft excel and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrates Computer knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • Demonstrates strong learning agility
  • Willingness and ability to be creative and flexible to contribute to better ways of enhancing work performance.
  • Commitment to Save the Children values.
