Finance & Admin Assistant
Finance & Admin Assistant will be responsible for the financial health of our organization by supporting different finance roles within our financial procedures. The duties will include participating in audits, monitoring transactions, and preparing invoices.

Job Description
To succeed in this role, the officer must demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn, excellent communication, knowledge of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide required weekly reports by specified deadlines to the Field Accountant.
- Ensure compliance to with Samaritans Purse field accounting policies.
- Review and ensure accuracy of financial transactions for Samaritans Purse field operations based in the region as appropriate (includes vouchers, FERs, Cash Advances, transfers, etc.)
- Ensure all cash is reconciled on a daily basis, reporting any over/under to the Field Accountant.
- Administer all cash advances to employees and partners, reconciling receipts and cash.
- Support the Field Accountant during internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure finance documents are properly filed and maintained.
- Scanning and archiving large quantities of data.
- Ensure that the scanner is well maintained.
- Handling sensitive documents which require a trustworthy individual.
- Compiling, checking and proper filing of all financial documents.
- Any other duties as may be required from time to time.
Education / Experience Needed
- Bachelor of Art in Accounting/Finance or Business Management.
- 2/3 years work experience working with International NGOs and US Government award desired
LANGUAGE
- Proficiency in English and Amharic
- Knowledge of the regional language required
- Knowledge of any other national language is a plus
