Job Summary:
The Field Level Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and implementation of project activities in the field. This role involves working closely with community members, local government officials, and consortium partners to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives aimed at improving food security, resilience, and conflict management in the target regions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination and Implementation:
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of project activities in the field, ensuring alignment with the project plan and objectives.
- Facilitate the organization and training of Community Peace Promoters and other community-based initiatives.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, provide technical support, and ensure quality implementation of activities.
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate community conversations, dialogues, and consultative meetings with peace promoters.
- Represent the project in local and regional forums, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation plans to track project progress and impact.
- Collect and compile data for reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual report maintaining timeliness, standard and requirements.
- Participate in regular performance review meetings and contribute to the preparation of progress reports.
4. Capacity Building:
- Identify training needs and organize capacity-building activities for community members, local government officials, and project staff.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to Community Peace Promoters and other project participants.
5. Resource Management:
- Ensure efficient use of project resources, including financial, human, and material resources.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
6. Advocacy and Communication:
- Develop and disseminate tailored information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to promote project objectives.
- Conduct awareness-raising campaigns and workshops on conflict management, peacebuilding, and natural resource management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Field Level Project Coordinator:
1. Project Implementation:
- Activity Completion Rate: Percentage of planned project activities completed on time.
- Quality of Implementation: Feedback from stakeholders and beneficiaries on the quality of project activities.
- Adherence to Budget: Percentage of project activities completed within the allocated budget.
2. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Data Collection Accuracy: Percentage of accurate and timely data collected for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Reporting Timeliness: Frequency and punctuality of submitting progress reports to the Project Manager and consortium partners.
3. Resource Management:
- Resource Utilization Efficiency: Effective use of financial, and material resources.
- Compliance with Donor Requirements: Adherence to donor guidelines and requirements in financial reporting and resource management.
4. Advocacy and Communication:
- IEC Materials development and Dissemination: Information, education, and communication (IEC) materials (E.g: Flipbook for peace dialogue) developed and properly applied by the trained peace promoters.
- Number of knowledge products generated: project brief, best practices, lessons and case studies generated.
5. Conflict Resolution and Peace-building:
- Community Dialogues: Number of community conversations and dialogues facilitated.
- Conflict Incidents: Reduction in the number of conflict incidents reported in the target areas.
6. Team Coordination:
- Team Performance: Feedback from project team members on leadership and coordination.
7. Sustainability and Impact:
- Sustainability Plans: Development and implementation of sustainability plans for project activities.
- Impact Assessment: Measurement of the long-term impact of project activities on community resilience and peacebuilding
