Job Description
DISTINCT FUTURE OF CVDA
CVDA has been re-registered and licensed by the Ethiopian Ministry of Justice, Charities and Societies Agency, on November 30, 2009 as an Ethiopian Residents charity in accordance with the Charities and Societies proclamation No. 621/2009 with registration No. 0588. As per 1113/2019 proclamation also re-registered on July 30, 2019.
CVDA has permission to work at the national level however so far operates marginal parts of Benshangule Gumuz Region, Sidama region, South Ethiopia Region, Central Ethiopia region, South west Ethiopia region, Oromiya region, Afar region and Addis Ababa City administration.
It is member of Consortium of Reproductive Health Association (CORHA), Union of Ethiopian Women Charitable Association (UEWCA), Ethiopian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative/EEITI/, Ethiopia Civil Society Coalition for Scaling up Nutrition/ECSC-SUN/ and Afar Region Health Partner Forum.

CVDA envisions a poverty-free Ethiopia where equity and equality are ensured.
Mission:
CVDA’s mission is to enhance socioeconomic development in health, education, agriculture, environment, livelihood, and WaSH, humanitarian responses, community-based peace-building, and good governance through holistic approaches and working with the community to contribute towards sustainable development and an improved standard of living in Ethiopia.
Overall goal:
CVDA’s goal is to contribute to poverty alleviation through community-based approaches by implementing programs for development, good governance, and humanitarian responses in different regions of the country.

Description of the Vacancy

Called HOME-GROWN SCHOOL FEEDING & CLIMATE-RESILIENT LIVELIHOODS PROJECT
Which implemented in Bena Tsemay, Malle and Dasenech Woredas, South Ethiopia. So we want to hire project staff for this project mentioned below
| Duty station | Woreda level – target kebeles in Bena Tsemay, Malle and Dasenech |
| Reporting line | Reports to: Woreda Livelihood Officer. |
| Supervision | Works closely with lead farmers, development agents, community structures, schools and farmer groups. |
| Job purpose | Provide frontline community mobilization, facilitation, follow-up and data collection to ensure project activities reach targeted farmers, pastoralists, schools and community structures effectively. |
| Minimum qualifications & experience | Diploma in Agriculture, Community Development or related field; with 2years and above experience. local recruitment with strong knowledge of the target woreda/kebeles; ability to communicate in relevant local languages; practical community facilitation experience preferred. |
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilize and orient target farmers, pastoralists, women, youth, school communities and producer groups.
- Facilitate Farmer/Pastoralist Field School sessions and practical demonstrations under technical supervision.
- Support participant registration, attendance, training logistics and follow-up.
- Assist with distribution of agricultural inputs and ensure complete, accurate beneficiary and distribution records.
- Conduct routine household/farm follow-up and document adoption of climate-smart and post-harvest practices.
- Support school garden establishment, maintenance follow-up and school-based learning activities as assigned.
- Support farmer groups/cooperatives with meetings, collective marketing and market information dissemination.
- Collect routine field data using approved forms/mobile tools and submit reports on time.
- Share community feedback, complaints and protection concerns through established referral and CFM channels.
- Promote safe, inclusive, gender-responsive and conflict-sensitive participation in all project activities.
Key Deliverables / Performance Areas
Community mobilization records; FFS/session records; beneficiary/distribution documentation; field monitoring reports; feedback records; timely data submissions.

Safeguarding and Compliance

Staff must report concerns through established mechanisms.
