Job Description

We are seeking motivated and organized Facilitators to support data contributors in targeted locations – Adama, Jimma, Asella, Shashamane, Sheger City, Harar. The role includes overseeing dataset collection, assisting contributors, monitoring training programs, and managing devices to ensure quality, ethics, and successful program delivery.

Responsibilities

Support data contributors by ensuring timely collection and submission of linguistic datasets through the designated platform, following all quality standards and guidelines.

Provide continuous assistance to contributors, addressing queries related to payments, tasks, product issues, and any technical or logistical concerns.

Monitor and evaluate contributor training sessions on data collection, digital and financial literacy, and soft skills to ensure understanding, effective application, and ongoing improvement.

Collaborate with the product team to align monitoring insights with program objectives and strengthen implementation outcomes.

Coordinate device distribution and follow-up, ensuring proper allocation, usage, and ongoing support to address challenges and maintain effective utilization.

Requirements

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to provide clear instructions, manage tasks and deadlines, and build positive relationships with contributors and the product team.

Proven problem-solving ability and adaptability to resolve challenges promptly and adjust to changing circumstances.

Native or fluent in Afaan Oromo with clear written and spoken communication in Afaan Oromo and Amharic; English proficiency (moderate to advanced) is an advantage.

Relevant facilitation skills and experience required; certifications in facilitation, communication, or related areas are a plus.

Proficient in digital tools such as Google Drive, Telegram, and task-tracking platforms, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and support online collaboration.

Experience in facilitation, coordination, or data collection projects, including monitoring virtual teams and addressing logistical or connectivity challenges.

Demonstrates professionalism, cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and responsiveness in all interactions.

Has access to a laptop or smartphone, stable internet connection, and knowledge of the designated data collection platform.

Committed to timelines, responsive during business hours, and willing to attend training sessions, travel for check-ins, and provide occasional support outside regular hours.

Capable of preparing daily and bi-weekly reports, maintaining organized records, and addressing facilitation challenges effectively.

Willing and able to travel to contributor locations with access to reliable transportation.

Upholds high ethical and safeguarding standards, ensuring confidentiality, informed consent, and a safe, inclusive environment free from harm, discrimination, or exploitation.
