About the role

Education Development Trust is inviting Expressions of Interest for a proposed 5-year education technical assistance programme in Ethiopia. The proposed programme will have a focus on enhanced access and learning through the development of school leadership, equity, with a focus on marginalised girls, TPD and English language.

We are seeking expressions of interest in the areas of:

  • School Leadership
  • Girls Education
  • Teacher Professional Development
  • English Language.

Do you have experience of working in a substantive role in country in one of these areas, providing education technical assistance at a national level?

You will have:

  • Strong local networks and contacts, with an excellent understanding of the Ethiopian political and education context
  • An ability to provide a ‘big picture’ view, drawing clear analysis and insights into large scale complex programmes.
  • Specific expertise in the provision of technical assistance one of the four areas; School Leadership, Girls Education, TPD or English Language
  • Consultancy skills, including the ability to offer objective feedback, challenge and constructive recommendations to project and corporate staff.
  • Experience of stakeholder engagement/management
