Background:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their lives. The IRC works with people forced to flee from war, conflict and disaster and the host communities which support them, as well as those who remain within their homes and communities. We began work in Ethiopia since 2000 and currently implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, economic recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.

Job Overview:
The ET-RRM Grants Coordinator is responsible for managing IRC Ethiopia’s multi-donor, multi-million Euro Ethiopia Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) project, funded by ECHO, Irish Aid, and other donors. This role is embedded within the RRM team and works in close coordination with the Grants and Partnerships Unit. The Grants Coordinator ensures effective coordination, administration, and compliance of RRM grants. Key responsibilities include leading or supporting the development of new proposals, budget realignments, and project revisions. The coordinator also reviews sub-award proposal packages and partner reports to ensure alignment with donor requirements.
Additionally, the Grants Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate grant documentation and ensuring timely, high-quality donor reporting in line with IRC internal systems and guidelines. Though based in Addis Ababa, this role requires occasional travel to field sites. This position collaborates closely with RRM team members, technical coordinators, the finance and operations teams, and the Grants and Partnerships Unit to ensure seamless program implementation and compliance.
